Frequently Asked Questions
A. You may apply for iAdvance if:
- you are at least eighteen years of age
- you have an active prepaid card in good standing that is eligible for iAdvance
- you have wages or other sources of income or benefits direct deposited to your Card on regular intervals not to exceed 35 days and in qualifying dollar amounts
- you do not already have an open iAdvance account or an iAdvance account that has been previously charged-off due to non-payment
- you have a verifiable e-mail address
A. Once you have made at least one qualifying direct deposit on your prepaid card, simply visit
www.MyiAdvance.com and click the Apply Now button.
A. Once you are enrolled in iAdvance®, you can obtain your credit limit and available credit by logging on at www.MyiAdvance.com or by calling the number on the back of your card. Your credit limit represents the total amount of credit we have agreed to extend to you under iAdvance. Your outstanding advances will never exceed your credit limit. Your available credit represents the maximum amount you can request as an advance at any time and is equal to the difference between your credit limit and your balance owed, excluding any outstanding advance fees. Like other lines of credit, as you request money, your available credit will decrease. When the money is repaid, your available credit will be restored.
A. There is no cost to apply for iAdvance. You only pay if you take an advance. We charge an Advance Fee equal to 12.5% of the amount of each advance you request. For example, for every $20 that you advance, the Advance Fee will be $2.50. There are no late fees or fees associated with paying your balance early. You should carefully consider the costs of iAdvance. Alternative forms of credit exist that might be less expensive and more advantageous to you as the borrower.
A. You don’t have to do anything – payments will be automatically made from your prepaid card. The total of all advances and fees will be automatically repaid from the next direct deposit made to your prepaid card. Any deposits (including your paycheck or benefit-related income, tax refund and other one-time non-repetitive deposits) will be used for repayment.
If your direct deposit is not enough to repay the amount you owe, a partial repayment will be made resulting in an unpaid balance. iAdvance will take repayment of the remaining unpaid balance from any funds on your prepaid card, including future deposits, until the amount you owe is repaid in full.
A.You can request up to 10 transactions per day but your advance requests must be in $20 increments or equal to the maximum amount of your available credit. iAdvance is designed to provide access to cash quickly and when you may need it most. Since it is designed to be a temporary solution, you should not use iAdvance if you believe you cannot repay your loan without borrowing again or your cash shortage is expected to last more than one pay period. If you engage in excessive use of iAdvance, your iAdvance account may be temporarily suspended or your credit limit may be reduced.
A. Yes. Loan advances and repayment performance are reported to the three major credit bureaus monthly. Managing your credit and making payments on time, especially after a period of late payment behavior, may help to raise your credit score over time. With iAdvance you don’t have to worry about getting your payment in on time – we do it for you automatically from your next direct deposit.
